PTA President's Message 2023-24

Dear Carver Pioneers,

 

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year at Carver Elementary! As your PTA President for this year, I am deeply honored to be a part of this incredible community. I can’t wait to meet all the wonderful new faces and look forward to seeing familiar ones around as well. We’re in for an exciting year together! At Carver, our mission is simple and unwavering: to positively impact the lives of all children and families in our community. It is with this mission in mind that I approach the school year, carrying forward the spirit of the “Carver Rocks” theme.

 

From the moment my husband and I thought about starting a family, finding a place to settle with excellent schools was a top priority. After many discussions and extensive research, it became clear that San Marino School District was the perfect choice for us. In 2017, my eldest son started his journey at Carver as a kindergartener, followed by my youngest son who joined in 2020. Now, my oldest is a rising 6th grader, heading towards Huntington Middle School, while our youngest will be a Carver 3rd grader.

 

Over the years, our family has been blessed with many cherished memories, thanks to the incredible activities and programs sponsored and organized by the PTA. We have an exciting lineup of events, ranging from the Carver Carnival and family picnic to the Walking School Bus and Lunar New Year festivities. Not to mention the Bike Rodeo, book fair, author events, art labs, music lessons, and cultural experiences. The support we receive from Carver teachers, staff, parents, and the community is the heart of our success at Carver PTA. Whether it’s volunteering at an event, sharing your skills, or offering financial support, every contribution deeply matters. There are plenty of ways to get involved, big or small, from the comfort of your home or at school. So, I invite you to join the Carver PTA and experience the magic! Your involvement is what makes our school community so special. Together, we let our children know how much we value them, their education, and their development.

  • Sign up for Carver’s weekly newsletter at www.carverschool.us.
  • Be on the lookout for emails from your child’s room reps.
  • Join our Carver PTA Community Facebook Group and follow @CarverPioneersPTA on Instagram.
  • Attend our monthly PTA meetings, starting with our first meeting on Monday, September 18th at 8:45 a.m. in Scrim Auditorium.
