Hello(Woof!) and Welcome to Carver Kindergarten!

My name is Mrs. Denham and this is Wiggles (more about him later!) I will be your kindergarten teacher this year!

Let me tell you about myself.  After graduating from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Arts, California State University, Los Angeles for a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Masters of Administration, I taught at Pasadena Unified School District before coming to San Marino Unified School District. I have been teaching at SMUSD for 14 years.  I began at Huntington Middle School teaching 6th Grade English, Social Studies, and PE.  I taught one year of World History at San Marino High School and continue to teach World History every summer! Following high school, I was invited to teach with the Carver Kindergarten team.  I love Carver Kindergarten and I think you will too!

I have four children, all grown up! Chase, Blake, Tess, and Griffin.  Mr. Denham teaches college and university students. We also have a pet named Benny whom we love very much. We love reading books and playing games together.  One of our favorite games is Skip-Bo, a fun counting card game! We love to go to the beach and play in the California sand and surf!  I look forward to learning more about you and your families this coming year.

We have a kindergarten classroom pet in Room 23 and his name is Wiggles. (Wave to our new friends, Wiggles!) This is Wiggle's first year at school and he is a little nervous. I believe we together can help Wiggles feel at home at school, learn and have fun.  I will need your help in teaching Wiggles how to read, write, count, and many more exciting things. I know I will be able to rely on you to help me teach Wiggles all the important rules and guidelines necessary to be a safe, productive, and happy student.
