September 24, 2020

Dear Carver families and staff,

It is my pleasure and great honor to announce that K. L. Carver School is one of 367 schools in the nation that is recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School (NBRS) for 2020. Carver School is an Exemplary High Performing School for our overall performance in which our school demonstrated dramatic gains in student achievements in the last few years on top of our school’s existing exceptional performance.

The coveted National Blue Ribbon Schools award affirms the hard work of our educators, students, families, guardians, volunteers, District Office, Schools Foundation, generous donors, and San Marino community in creating a safe and welcoming learning environment where students master challenging and engaging content and where the faculty and staff share a unity of purpose to make a positive difference in all our students.

In addition to being a three-time California Distinguished School, this is the second time that Carver School has won the National Blue Ribbon School Award. This year’s recognition is a testament to the continued excellence that we see in the learning culture at Carver School in the San Marino Unified School District and I want to congratulate our teachers, staff, students, parents, guardians, volunteers, District Office, Schools Foundation, generous donors, and San Marino community for this achievement in helping us earn this prestigious national award.

Sincerely,

Dr. Mike Lin

Principal
