PTA President's Message 2021-22
Dear Carver Pioneers,
I want to extend my warmest welcome to you and your family for the 2021-2022 school year. I am honored to serve as Carver PTA’s President for the upcoming year as we adjust to a “new normal” and navigate a safe return to campus. This past year has been challenging on many levels, but we are the Carver Pioneers! We can learn, adapt, persevere, and overcome any obstacles thrown our way. Our students have thrived under the guidance of our teachers and staff and, with the passage of Measure E, our community has pledged its commitment to keeping our schools strong. Now, more than ever, I want to focus on engaging our families and strengthening our community so that the PTA can continue to support the programs and services at Carver that enrich our children’s lives.
My family started at Carver in 2017 when our older son entered 4th grade. We made the move to San Marino from nearby Pasadena so that our children could attend the schools here. At Carver, we found much more than just a great school with amazing teachers and staff; we became a part of a dedicated community. Our older son and daughter are now rising 8th and 6th graders at HMS and our younger son will be a 4th grader at Carver.
Many of my family’s most treasured memories at Carver over the years involve activities and programs that are sponsored by the PTA: the Bike Rodeo, carnivals, family picnics, the Walking School Bus, Lunar New Year festivities, book fairs, and author events in the beautiful Carver Library. The PTA’s ability to support these programs and many others is possible because of generous donations of time, expertise, and funds given by the Carver teachers, staff, parents, and community. I invite you to be a part of the Carver PTA and get involved. Carver is a school like no other, and it relies on support from parents and community members to sustain its enrichment programs that positively impact the lives of all children and families. Thank you for helping in any way you can and showing your children the importance you place on their education.

I look forward to getting to know you all this year and building an even stronger Carver community. To quote a verse from our own Carver Song: “Let cheers for Carver fill the air / There is no school that can compare!”
