WELCOME TO THE K.L. CARVER COMPUTER LAB!
Carver School's Technology Media Center opened in October 1999. The center is funded by The San Marino Schools Foundation and the Carver P.T.A. These generous groups desire to see Carver School on the cutting edge of technology and want the students at Carver School to be well prepared for the 21st century. All classrooms are connected to the web. Connectivity to the World Wide Web as been made possible by SMnet.
Each student attends Computer Lab once a week for 45 minutes. The Computer Lab Coordinator, Mr. Powert, trains and instructs students and faculty how to use computer technology as an extension of their normal classroom curriculum. This includes the use of hardware and software applications as well as knowledge of the operating system. Mr. Powert ensures the Computer Lab is always operational and conducts routine preventive maintenance.
Mr. Powert also provides faculty and staff with technical support services to strengthen user skills when using computer technology as an instructional tool.
